• Prize-winner at the 10th Rimsky-Korsakov International Competition for Young Opera Singers (Tikhvin, 2016; 1st prize in the opera category)
• Prize-winner at the 9th Rimsky-Korsakov International Competition for Young Opera Singers (Tikhvin, 2015; 1st prize in the chamber category)
• Prize-winner at the 42nd All-Russian Review Competition of Graduate Vocalists of Higher Institutes of Music (St Petersburg, 2014; 2nd prize)

Tatiana Starkova was born in Novosibirsk. In 2009 she graduated from the Perm College of Music, having specialised in piano and vocals. Trained at the Department of Solo Singing at the Perm State Academy of Art and Culture (class of Olga Liyka, a soloist of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre).

Since 2012 Tatiana Starkova has been a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers. She made her Mariinsky Theatre debut in 2015, appearing in a concert performance of the opera Into the Storm.
