Yulia Suleimanova was born in Kherson. Graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory (class of Nina Arsentieva).  At the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the St Petersburg Conservatory she performed the roles of Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice) and Marfa (The Tsar’s Bride).
In summer 2018 she made her Salzburg Festival debut as Chloe/Prilepa in a new production of The Queen of Spades (conducted by Mariss Jansons).
From 2014 to 2023 the artist was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers, where she improved her skills under the guidance of Grayr Khanedanian. Made her debut at the Mariinsky Theatre in 2016, appearing in The Boy Giant.
Since February 2023 Yulia Suleimanova has been a soloist with the Mariinsky Opera Company.

She has sung in premieres of Mariinsky Theatre productions of The Boy Giant (2016), The Little Prince (2016), Adalmina’s Pearl (2017), L’italiana in Algeri (2022), The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevroniya (2022, new version of the 1994 production) as well as in the world premieres of the operas The Cossacks by Leonid Klinichev (2016) and Soldier’s Tales by Alexei Pozin (2021), which took place at the Mariinsky Theatre. Has taken part in many concert programmes by the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers, including ones in Great Britain, Italy and France. Has performed at the Stars of the White Nights festival and the International Caucasian Festival Mariinsky – Vladikavkaz.
