Anna Kantor graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory in 2015 (piano class of Tatiana Zagorovskaya, accompanist class of Elena Gaudasinskaya, chamber ensemble class of Elena Semishina).
Prize-winner – together with chamber ensembles – at international competitions. For her brilliant skills as an accompanist, she was awarded a diploma at the 4th International B.T. Shtokolov Vocal Competition (St Petersburg, 2014).
Since 2017 Anna Kantor has been an accompanist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers. At the academy she took part in the preparation of concert versions of operas by Mozart (La finta giardiniera, La clemenza di Tito), Rossini (La gazza ladra), Donizetti (Linda di Chamounix, Anna Bolena, La favorita). The pianist’s repertoire includes children’s operas, performed with her participation both on the stages of the Mariinsky Theatre and at concert venues outside of St Petersburg: Chukokkala-1 by Sergei Chechiotko, Vasilisa, The Turnip and The Adventures of Kintaro by Rustam Sagdiev, Murych the Cat and The Brave Hare by Sergei Banevich, The Christmas Tree by Vladimir Rebikov and The Little Prince by Leonid Klinichev.
She participates in creative projects of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers, aimed at preserving and popularising the chamber vocal heritage of Russian and foreign composers of the past and present. Anna Kantor’s repertoire includes chamber vocal works and cycles of Russian and foreign classics as well as old Russian romances.
Takes part in philharmonic subscription programmes.
As an accompanist she works at international vocal competitions.
