Born in Sverdlovsk.
Graduated from the Leningrad School of Dance in 1948 (class of Agrippina Vaganova).
From 1948-1971 she was a soloist with the Leningrad State Academic Kirov Theatre of Opera and Ballet (renamed the Mariinsky Theatre in 1992). Created the roles of Peppelina (The “Rossia” Entered the Port), Precious Stone (The Pearl), the Girl (Spanish Miniatures) and the Gold Dance (The Legend of Love).
Her repertoire also included ballets Gayaneh (Nuneh), The Red Poppy (Tao-Hoa, Chinese Dolls), Laurencia (Pascale), The Path of Thunder (Liza), Cinderella (Krivlyaka, Spring Fairy), The Sleeping Beauty (Generosity Fairy, Carefree Fairy, Gold Fairy, the White Cat, Little Red Riding Hood, the Diamond Fairy), Don Quixote (Flower-Seller, Amour), Le Carnaval (Columbine), The Stone Flower (Fire Girl), Native Fields (Manrica), The Bronze Horseman (Columbine), Flames of Paris (Amour, Pas de deux), Chopiniana (Eleventh Waltz, Nocturne), The Snow Maiden, Viennese Waltz (the Choreographic Miniatures company), Swan Lake (Friends of the Prince, Neapolitan Dance), Giselle (Classical Duet), The Fountain of Bakhchisarai (Bell Dance), The Nutcracker (Doll, Chinese Dance), La Bayadère (the Manu dance, variations in the scene The Shades) and La Esmeralda (the Pas d’action) among others.
Appeared in the ballet film The Sleeping Beauty (the White Cat).
Taught at the Teatro alla Scala (Milan, 1971-1972) and worked as a teacher and coach with the Universal Ballet Company (Seoul, 1993-2000).
From 1971-2023 she has been a coach in the perfection class at the Kirov-Mariinsky Theatre. She has rehearsed and coached roles with Alla Sizova, Gabriela Komleva, Lyudmila Kovaleva, Natalia Sakhnovskaya, Olga Baltacheyeva, Olga Vtorushina, Tatiana Vasilieva, Irina Chistyakova, Lyudmila Semenyaka, Tatiana Terekhova, Olga Likhovskaya, Galina Yablonskaya, Elena Pankova, Elena Kozyakova, Lisa Makukha (Philippines), Veronika Ivanova, Maya Dumchenko, Yulia Kasenkova, Olesya Novikova, Nadezhda Gonchar, Maria Shirinkina, Valeria Martynyuk and Nadezhda Batoeva.
