Choreographer
Anna Belich specialises in staging choreography and movement for drama and musical theatre using the Decroux technique. She trained in France at Ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique de Paris, where she learned the Decroux technique and at the Centre des Arts Chorégraphiques de Paris.Graduated from the St Petersburg Theatre Academy having followed a personalised course (acting and directing programme led by V. S. Golikov) in addition to taking lessons from the choreographer N. Volkova. Trained at the Théâtre du Soleil (Paris) under A. Mnushkina. She has worked on over forty productions, many of them created together with Russian and foreign drama directors. Among them are Fantasy in the Style of the Renaissance and Ophelia (premiered at the Baltic House Theatre, St Petersburg), Katerina Ismailova (premiered at Еhe Actor´s Refuge Theatre, St Petersburg), Pollyanna (directed by I. Selin, Young Spectator´s Theatre, St Petersburg), Krakatuk (directed by A. Moguchy, St Petersburg-Moscow), Orpheus (production by A. Belich, premiered at the Small Stage of the Baltic House Theatre, St Petersburg), The Masquerade (Alexandrinsky Theatre) and Joiselle (premiered at the Raikin Variety Theatre, St Petersburg). |
