Dan O’Neill


Movement Director

Dan trained at London School of Contemporary Dance. He performed with DV8, Toronto Dance Theatre, Extemporary Dance Theatre, The Featherstonehaughs and in many dance and opera productions, films and videos around the world.
He credits as a movement director/choreographer include Monkey (Young Vic), Peepshow (Frantic Assembly), Escapade (South Bank Center), Wolves in the Walls (NTS) and productions at the Everyman, Unicorn Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, Royal Exchange, Derngate and Bristol Old Vic. He also assisted on Jesus Christ Superstar (Lyceum, London), Dr. Dolittle (Apollo, London) and Rent (Tampere, Finland).
His work as assistant/associate director for opera include Don Carlo (San Carlos, Lisbon), The Gambler, Thais, Rusalka, Fancuilla, Marriage of Figaro (Grange Park Opera) and Wake (Nationale Reisopera).
Dan has made short films including The Linesman (BBC), The Human Voice (Channel 4), the award winning Struck and several documentaries.
He is a visiting lecturer at RADA and Central School of Speech and Drama.
