Born in the village of Novolisino, Leningrad Region.
Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 2012 (class of Gennady Selyutsky).
With the Mariinsky Ballet from 2022 to 2023.

In April 2014 as part of the Creative Workshop of Young Choreographers at the Mariinsky Theatre Maxim Petrov presented the one-act ballet Cinéma to music by Erik Satie. In 2015 at the Creative Workshop of Young Choreographers he presented the one-act piece Ballet No 2 to music by Alexander Tsfasman (Jazz Suite), which subsequently entered the Mariinsky Theatre's repertoire. June 2015 saw the premiere of the ballet Le Divertissement du roi, created for Igor Kolb to music by Jean-Philippe Rameau. In April 2016 as part of the Creative Workshop of Young Choreographers he presented the ballet Pavlovsk to music by Karen LeFrak. In July 2016 came the one-act ballet Russian Overture to music by Sergei Prokofiev. In 2017 for the Creative Workshop of Young Choreographers he staged the duet Tromba Lontana to the music by John Adams and as a part of the project The Dreamers: Beyond and Losе Yourself to Dance to the music of Daft Punk. In 2018 he made his debut in the Atlanta Ballet as a choreographer of Сoncerto Armonico to the music of Alexander Tcherepnin. In 2019 for the Creative Workshop of Young Choreographers he staged Keep to the music by Nils Frahm.

In 2019 he presented the ballet Russian Deadlocks to the music by Nastasya Khrushcheva for the project of Diana Vishneva Studio Context. Аt the Mariinsky Theatre he presented Russian Deadlocks II in 2020, as director and choreographer he presented Renard. Mavra. The Fairy's Kiss by Stravinsky in 2021, he choreographed L'Après-midi d'un faune in 2022. Produced the choreography for the operas War and Peace (directed by Graham Vick, 2014), The Golden Cockerel (directed by Anna Matison, 2015), and Samson еt Dalila (directed by Yannis Kokkos, 2016) at the Mariinsky Theatre.
