Born in Leningrad. In 2007 she graduated from the North-West Academy of Public Administration (now the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration), while in 2009 she graduated from Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts (London, Great Britain).
Bakhtiozina's works have been exhibited at the Erarta museum, the Anna Nova Gallery in St Petersburg, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Multimedia Art Museum, Winzavod center for contemporary art and the Fabrika gallery in Moscow, as well as in Great Britain, Belgium, Germany and Italy. Uldus' works have been included in collections of the Ruya Foundation of Contemporary Culture in Iraq, the St Petersburg Fabergé Museum and the Tretyakov Gallery.
In June 2016 Italian Vogue magazine named Bakhtiozina best fashion photographer. In March 2017 Uldus was a finalist for the Laguna art prize. Uldus is an ambassador for GUCCI Beauty and COS in Russia.
In 2020 she made her directing debut with the film Fisherman's Daughter, which featured in the main programme of the Berlinale festival, and was a participant in the Andrei Tarkovsky "Mirror" festival, the Shanghai Film Festival, Poland's New Horizons international film festival and the UK's independent film festival Raindance.
