Tadei Ryndzak is Principal Designer of the Lviv National Academic Solomiya Krushelnytska Opera and Ballet Theatre. Was born in 1940 in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, graduating from the faculty of architecture of the Lviv Polytechnic University. In 1967 he entered the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre as an assistant to Yevgeny Lysyk. The designer's first independent work was the opera Natalka Poltavka (1968). Productions he has designed include Carmen, Les Cloches de Corneville, Prince Igor, Iolanta, Rigoletto, Taras Bulba and Swan Lake among others. Productions from recent years include Don Giovanni (2015, 2018), Don Pasquale (2017) and several ballets. Has collaborated with the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine, the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus. Has worked on productions in Moscow and Poland. At the Mariinsky Theatre he has designed a production of Lohengrin (1999) based on sketches by Yevgeny Lysyk.
People's Artist of Ukraine (2002) and recipient of the Anatoly Shekera Prize (2015).
