The Siberian Camerata Orchestra was founded in 1998. Anton Sharoev is the founder, Artistic Director, and Principal Conductor of the ensemble. The orchestra has an extensive repertoire, which includes instrumental and operatic works of great masters of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classicism epochs. It regularly performs on tour and takes part in musical and educational events in Tyumen. The ensemble also appears in subscription concerts held at the Tyumen Philharmonic. The orchestra has collaborated with Nikolai Petrov, Denis Matsuev, Luz Leskowitz, Graf Mourja, Alena Baeva, Aylen Pritchin, and Veronika Kozhukharova.
In 2002, the ensemble was a prize-winner of the All-Russian orchestra competition, organized by Radio Orpheus (for Bortniansky’s Alcido, which was performed for the first time after 206 years of oblivion). The orchestra also took part in performances of Fomin’s melodrama Orpheus and such operas as Pashkevich’s Saint Petersburg's Bazaar, Tariverdiev’s Expectation, and Rubinstein’s Christus at the Tyumen Philharmonic, the St Petersburg State Capella, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, the St Petersburg Philharmonic, the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn, the Riga Dome Cathedral and Admiralspalast Berlin.
The ensemble also toured in Spain and recorded a number of CDs, as well as released the music film Oblivion of Christus.
