Sergey Davydchenko was born in 2004 in the stanitsa (Cossack village) of Alexandriyskaya, Georgievsky District, Stavropol Krai (Stavropol Region). Graduated with distinction in 2022 from Specialised Music School (College) affiliated with the Rostov State Rachmaninoff Conservatoire where he studied in the class of Sergei Osipenko. Currently continues his education at the Rostov Conservatoire in the same teacher’s class.

A winner of multiple contests, Sergey has claimed numerous prestigious awards. He received the Grand Prix at the Safonov International Youth Piano Competition in Pyatigorsk (2015), 1st prize at the Karamanov International Competition for Young Pianists in Simferopol (2015), the Grand Prix at the Path to Mastery International Competition for Piano and Chamber Music in Rostov-on-Don (2016), 1st prize and the Audience Award at the International Television Contest for Young Musicians The Nutcracker in Moscow (2016), 1st prize at the International Competition for Young Pianists Astana Piano Passion (2017) and the Gold Medal at the Youth Delphic Games of Russia in Rostov-on-Don (2019). Sergey achieved further accolades at the Russian Music International Piano Competition in Ryazan (2019; 1st prize) and the All-Russian New Names Foundation Scholarship Competition in Moscow (2021). At the International Grand Piano Competition in Moscow the artist won six special prizes in 2018, including the Audience Award, and in 2021 he received the Grand Prix and ten special prizes. His outstanding performance at the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow – St Petersburg, 2023) earned him 1st prize, the Gold Medal, the special prize for exceptional performance from the Yangtze River piano company and the Alexander Toradze Special Prize.

Sergey Davydchenko has participated in numerous festivals, including AMMERSEErenade (Schondorf am Ammersee, Germany), Stars on Baikal, Christmas Meetings, the Mariinsky International Piano Festival, Stars of the White Nights, Crescendo, White Lilac, Green Noise, Alma Mater and Musical Olympus among others. Has performed at the Mariinsky Theatre, the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall (Moscow), the Moscow International Performing Arts Centre, the Moscow Concert Hall Zaryadye, the GES-2 House of Culture (Moscow), the Grand Hall of the St Petersburg Philharmonia, the Stavropol State Operetta Theatre (Pyatigorsk), Belgrade’s Concert Hall of the Foundation of Ilija M. Kolarac, Dubai Opera and other venues. In 2018 he gave a recital in Monterrey, Mexico. At the opening of the IV International Grand Piano Competition in Moscow in June 2024 he took part in the world premiere of the Concerto for Four Pianos and Orchestra by Alexander Tchaikovsky.
