In 2000 Polina Grigorieva graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory, completing an assistant traineeship there in 2002 and graduating from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock (Germany) in 2011. Since 1995 she has worked as an accompanist of the Wind Department (and as a chamber ensemble teacher since 2000) at the St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music; she is also an accompanist at the St Petersburg Conservatory.
Prize-winner at the Virtuosi International Youth Festival and Competition (St Petersburg, 1997; 1st prize), the Sergey Taneyev All-Russian Open Competition of Chamber Ensembles and Piano Duets (Kaluga, 1999; 4th prize), the Yurmala International Competition of Chamber Ensembles and Piano Duets (Latvia, 2000; 2nd prize), the International Piano Competition Republic of San Marino (2004; 3rd prize and special prize for the best performance of a work by Schubert), the Sergey Taneyev International Competition of Chamber Ensembles (Kaluga, 2005; 2nd prize and two special prizes), the International Schubert Competition for Piano Duets (Jeseník, Czech Republic, 2007; 2nd prize and special prize for the best performance of a work by Schubert), the Bialystok International Piano Duo Competition (Poland, 2008; 4th prize), the Premio Valentino Bucchi competition (Rome, 2009; 1st prize), the Chicago International Duo Piano Competition (2011; Grand Prize and Norman Pellegrini Schubert Prize) and the Sergei Rachmaninoff Music International Competition (St Petersburg, 2012; 3rd prize).
Took part in the Schubert Festival (Rostock) and the festivals St Petersburg Musical Spring and Baltic Piano Duets. Together with Yulia Yurchenko she performed in the piano duo Vis-à-vis.
