Vladimir Vishnevsky was born in 2002 in Rybinsk (Yaroslavl Region). In 2022 he graduated with distinction from the Moscow Gnessin Special School of Music, where he studied with Tatiana Shklovskaya. Since the same year the pianist has been a student of Andrey Pisarev at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. He has participated in masterclasses led by Alexander Sandler, Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Boris Bloch, Sergei Dorensky, Oxana Yablonskaya, Tatiana Zagorovskaya and Sergey Senkov.
Winner of the Lisbon Stars International Competition (2022; Grand Prix), the International Competition of Pianists named after V.V. Nielsen (St Petersburg, 2023; Grand Prix), Musorgsky International Youth Music Competition (St Petersburg, 2023), the All-Russian Competition EXEED Stars (Moscow, 2023), the Fujairah International Piano Competition (UAE, 2024), the Zhirkov International Young Pianists’ Competition (Moscow, 2024; Grand Prix and 1st prize), the Moscow International Vladimir Krainev Piano Competition (2025; Grand Prix), the Hibla Gerzmava International Competition of Vocalists and Accompanists (Moscow, 2025; 1st prize and special prize), the Rachmaninoff International Competition for Pianists, Composers and Conductors (Moscow, 2025; 1st prize and Gold Medal) among other contests. Recipient of the Mayor of Moscow’s Grant (2021) and the Sviatoslav Richter Scholarship (2024). Since 2015 he has been a grant-holder and performer for the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.
Has toured to Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, China, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco and Mexico. Has appeared at the Mariinsky Theatre, the Moscow State Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre, the Teatro Massimo Bellini (Catania), the Moscow Concert Hall Zaryadye, the Moscow International Performing Arts Centre, the Moscow Philharmonic Society, the St Petersburg Philharmonia and many other venues. Has performed with such artists as Hibla Gerzmava, Alexander Kniazev, Vadim Repin, Andrey Pisarev, Yana Ivanilova, and under the baton of Vladimir Spivakov, Ivan Nikiforchin, Denis Vlasenko, Vyacheslav Valeev, Murad Annamamedov, Oleg Khudyakov to name but a few.
He is an ambassador of the Russian Piano School project and an artist of Orpheus Radio.
Since 2023 Vladimir Vishnevsky has been a soloist of the St Petersburg Music House.
