Lighting Designer
Kamil Kutyev was born in Leningrad in 1966. In 1990 he started working
with the Mariinsky Theatre Lighting Department. In the seventeen years
he has worked at the theatre, he has incorporated every nuance of his
profession. He has collaborated on various theatre productions and TV
shows in theatres in St Petersburg and in Moscow. Since 2007, he has
been Head of the Stage Lighting Department of the Concert Hall of
the Mariinsky Theatre. As a lighting designer, he has worked on
productions of Maddalena, Kashchei the Deathless, La traviata, The Stone Guest and May Night, which were all staged at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre.
