Anna Kantor graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory in 2015 (piano class of Tatiana Zagorovskaya, accompanist class of Elena Gaudasinskaya, chamber ensemble class of Elena Semishina).
While a student at the conservatory, she was a prize-winner at international competitions together with chamber ensembles. For her brilliant skills as an accompanist she was awarded a diploma at the 4th International B.T. Shtokolov Vocal Competition (St Petersburg, 2014).
Since 2017 Anna Kantor has been an accompanist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers. At the academy she took part in the preparation of concert performances of operas by Mozart (La finta giardiniera, La clemenza di Tito), Rossini (La gazza ladra), Donizetti (Linda di Chamounix, Anna Bolena, La favorita). The pianist’s repertoire includes children’s operas: Chukokkala-1 by Sergei Chechiotko, The Turnip and The Adventures of Kintaro by Rustam Sagdiev, Murych the Cat by Sergei Banevich. She participates in concert programmes of the academy.
