Prize-winner at the All-Russian Vocalists' Competition in Belgorod (1991).
Yuri Alexeyev was born in Krasnoyarsk. In 1991, he graduated from the Rostov Rachmaninoff Conservatoire (class of B. Mazur).
The same year, he joined the Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theatre, where his repertoire included Alfredo Germont (La traviata), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Young Gypsy (Aleko) and Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana).
Yury Alexeyev joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 1996, making his debut as Alfredo Germont (La traviata).

Yury Alexeyev has toured with the Mariinsky Opera Company to Finland, the USA, Japan, Portugal, Luxembourg, Spain and China. He has also toured independently with recitals to Ireland (Wexford Festival), Spain (Peralada Festival), Italy and the Netherlands.
