Graduated from the Shebalin College of Music in Omsk (class of Natalia Ogneva) and from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2012 (сlass of Yevgenia Gorokhovskaya).
At the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire she performed the roles of Countess Rosina in Le nozze di Figaro, Flora Bervoix in La traviata and Laura in Iolanta.
Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers since 2013. Anna made her Marinnsky theatre debut as First Lady in Die Zauberflöte.

Together with singers of the Academy she has toured to Finland, Great Bratain and Italy. In 2017, Anna Barkhatova has sung in David Pountney production of The Enchantress at the Teatro di San Carlo.
