Mariinsky Theatre Guest Soloist

Daria Riabokon was born in Barnaul (Altai Krai (Altai Region)). In 2018 she graduated with distinction from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory (class of Professor Larisa Tedtoyeva). Trained at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz (Austria). While still a student, she performed the roles of Olga (Eugene Onegin), Lyubasha (The Tsar’s Bride) and Dorabella (Così fan tutte) at the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the St Petersburg Conservatory.

She made her Mariinsky Theatre debut in November 2018 as Mercédès (Carmen).

Mezzo-soprano parts in Mozart’s Requiem and Gavriil Popov’s Fourth Symphony (“Glory to the Fatherland”)

Has sung at premieres of new Mariinsky Theatre productions of Otello (2022, new revision of the 1996 production) and Iolanta (2023), in the first St Petersburg performance of Andrea Chénier which took place at the Mariinsky Theatre in 2022, and at the world premiere of Gavriil Popov’s Fourth Symphony (“Glory to the Fatherland”) which took place there in 2023.

Has portrayed Olga (Eugene Onegin) in Finland, Latvia and Lithuania. Has appeared under such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Altschuler, Alexander Titov and Fabio Mastrangelo. Has collaborated with the composer Sergei Slonimsky.

Repertoire also includes: Polina (The Queen of Spades), Siébel (Gounod’s Faust) and Clara (Betrothal in a Monastery).
