Anna Knyazeva (née Nyrkovskaya) was born in Arkhangelsk. In 2002 she graduated from the Arkhangelsk Regional College of Music with a degree in choral conducting. In 2015 she completed her master’s degree with distinction in classical singing at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (class of Tatiana Kravtsova). Has participated in masterclasses held by Larisa Gergieva, Grayr Khanedanian, Elena Obraztsova, Eva Blahová and Vladimir Atlantov.
From 2003 to 2024 Anna Knyazeva was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers. Made her Mariinsky Theatre debut in 2009, appearing as the Second Mermaid in May Night. Since March 2024 she has been a soloist with the Mariinsky Opera Company.
