Born in Leningrad, Dmitry Kirillov graduated from the Leningrad Special Music School in 1988 (class of Mark Reisenstock) and in 1993 from St Petersburg Conservatory (class of Leonid Shukaev).
In 1990 he received Diplomas of the international competitions in Murcia (Spain) and Cremona (Italy). The same year he was appointed member of the Mariinsky Orchestra. He participates in the orchestra tours and in the chamber concerts.
