Alexander Vasiliev

In 2010 Alexander Vasiliev entered the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Andrei Kazakov). Has performed in Frankfurt at the Alte Oper, in Hamburg at the Laiszhalle, at the Armoury of the Moscow Kremlin, at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, at the St Petersburg Philharmonic and at various concert halls in Lyon, New York, Geneva, Strasbourg, Zurich, Bern, Vienna, Graz, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Paris, Nice and Marseille. Has recorded for Radio Culture (New York) and BR Classic Radio (Munich). In 2013 he recorded his first solo album Le Début for Melodiya. Prize-winner at the I All-Russian Music Competition (1^st prize, 2012) and the International Rimsky-Korsakov Competition (1^st prize, 2013). In 2013 he began a postgraduate study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon (classes of Nicolas Baldeyrou and Robert Bianciotto).
