Vladimir Vyatkin was born in Moscow in 1988. At the age of five he began to play the recorder. At the age of eight he received the Russian Presidential Prize. From 1999 he began to play the oboe. In 2001 he received the Golden Nutcracker prize at the International Television Contest for Young Musicians The Nutcracker. In 2010 he graduated from the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music. Trained in Europe under such acclaimed oboists as Maurice Bourgue, Hansjörg Schellenberger and Alexei Ogrintchouk.
Has appeared with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra Musica Viva, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra The Seasons, the Gnesin Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris among other ensembles. Has collaborated with musicians including Irina Bochkova, Mikhail Voskresensky, Constantine Orbelian, Anna Netrebko, Nikolai Petrov, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Hibla Gerzmava, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Claudio Abbado, Alexei Utkin, Alexander Ghindin, Denis Matsuev, Igor Gromov, Kent Nagano, Harry Grodberg, Anastasia Sidelnikova and Pavel Nersessian. Has appeared in Italy, Austria, France, Estonia, Moldova, the USA, Japan, China, Germany, Syria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mexico, Peru. Regular participant in the music festivals Moscow Autumn and The Seasons.
Has been a soloist with the Pavel Slobodkin Centre Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the Pokrovsky Moscow State Academic Chamber Music Theatre and the State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia. Soloist and Artistic Director of the ensemble Espressivo (Moscow; since 2007) and soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic Society (since 2009), the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra directed by Pavel Kogan (since 2014) and the Moscow Chamber Schnittke Orchestra (since 2014). Plays the first oboe with the Rimsky-Korsakov Central Exemplary Concert Orchestra of the Russian Navy.
Since 2016 he has taught at the Department of Wind and Percussion Instruments of the Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music, of which he was appointed Head of Department in 2021. Has produced numerous research works dealing with the music of Bach.
