After graduating from university in the UK with a degree in photography and media, David launched a successful career as a commercial photographer in London. After several years of this he began to lose interest and, when offered the chance to tour with a circus he gave up his career in photography and joined the circus. That was eighteen years ago and since then he has toured with his solo and duo acrobatic shows internationally and been involved in numerous acclaimed productions; roughly five years ago he began to direct and choreograph his own shows. He says that working at the Mariinsky Theatre is “a dream come true” and something he has always wanted to do.
