Konstantin Fyodorov is a playwright and author of stage versions and librettos for the productions staged by puppet, drama and music theatres in St Petersburg, Moscow, Perm, Kirov, Tomsk, Kurgan, Khanty-Mansiysk, Osijek (Croatia), and Monte Carlo (Monaco). Among such productions are Maxim Didenko’s The Circus (choreographed by Vladimir Varnava) and The Idiot at the Theatre of Nations; Kharms. Myr at the Gogol Centre; Black Russian, director Nikolai Dreiden’s Olesya at the Priyut Komedianta Theatre and musical Zombi Zombi Zombi; The Iliad staged by Tatiana Priyatkina (Dzampano Theatre); The Starukhi Route.

Konstantin Fyodorov made his debut as ballet libretto author in 2016 with Le Baiser de la fée (choreography by Vladimir Varnava, set design by Galya Solodovnikova) for the Ballets de Monte-Carlo. May 2017 saw the premiere of the ballet Pétrouchka featuring Konstantin Fyodorov’s libretto (choreography by Vladimir Varnava, set design by Galya Solodovnikova) at the Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre. Fyodorov has written scripts for feature and animated films, such as director Alexei German Jr.’s short film Kim and Olga and Tatiana Poliektova’s animated film My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree (co-author of the script). The latter has received awards at various festivals and made it into the Oscars long list of contenders for the Best Animated Short.
