Fabio Iaquone

Fabio Iaquone is a highly acclaimed theatre video artist. Iaquone has worked with many stage directors and musicians, though he is most famous for his collaborations with Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, Ricardo Pais, Alfredo Arias, Antonella Ruggiero, Katia and Marielle Labèque and Viktoria Mullova. Iaquone’s style, which developed thanks to Digital Visual Theatre technology, is most vividly seen in his work on Candide (Opéra de Rennes, 2004, and Opéra de Rouen, 2006), Variazioni sul cielo set to a text by astrophysicist Margherita Hack (2004) and Matematico e impertinent to a text by science populist Piergiorgio Odifreddi (2006). Since 2003 Fabio Iaquone has been a senior lecturer at various higher arts institutions in Italy. His most recent works include adverts for Catalano Ceramics and the Milan Underground as well as productions of Radio Argo with Peppino Mazzotta and Du Don de Soi (Companhia Nacional de Bailado, Lisbon, choreographed by Paulo Ribeiro). His most recent works have received numerous prizes and awards.
