Born in Leningrad.
Graduated from the Leningrad Academic Vaganova School of Ballet in 1975 (classes of Lidia Tyuntina and Aida Chernova). From 1975-1998 she appeared in the ballets La Bayadère (Gamzatti), Don Quixote (Kitri), Le Corsaire (Gulnare), The Sleeping Beauty (Frolicsome Fairy, Diamond Fairy, Generosity Fairy), Swan Lake (Friends of the Prince), Giselle (Classical Duet), Napoli (Teresina), The Lefthander (the Flea), The Stone Flower (Fire-Girl), The Bronze Horseman (Columbine), The Creation of the World (She-Devil), The Hussar Ballad (Shura Azarova) and The Mountain-Dweller (Lezginka) among others. She was the first performer of the role of the Friend of the Worker in the ballet The Three Comrades (choreography by Dmitry Bryantsev) as well as the miniature The Old Photograph (choreography by Dmitry Bryantsev).
At the Vanemuine Theatre (Tartu, Estonia) she performed the role of Bianca in the ballet Satanella. In the 1990-1991 season she danced with the London City Ballet.
Coach at the Mariinsky Theatre since 2007.
