Born in Leningrad. Having graduated from the Leningrad Academic Vaganova School of Dance in 1990 he joined the Mariinsky Ballet where he appeared in productions of Giselle (Hans), La Bayadère (Grand pas), Swan Lake (von Rothbart, Mazurka), Raymonda (variation), Le Sacre du printemps, Les Noces, Jewels (Diamonds), Symphony in C (II. Adagio), Piano Concerto No 2 (Ballet Imperial), La Valse, Carmen-Suite (Corregidor); The Bronze Horseman (the Officer) among others.
Since 2021 he has been a coach with the reserve troupe of the Mariinsky Ballet.
