The concert will introduce young audiences to various instruments of the flute family, their sound and their history, as well as to the names of flautists – actual historical people and also mythological characters. There will be performances of works by Frederick II, Anna Amalia of Prussia, Carl Maria von Weber, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc, Albert Roussel and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov in addition to folk melodies.
